Yes, i`ve tried. Mine lg 32lh2000 was updated at service to 3.68, and then i downgraded to 3.15 for usb-hach, and other things. After that i upgraded from 3.15 to 3.67, 3.69, and finally 3.75 without any problems. (probably the upgrade works directly from 3.15 to 3.75, but take a look at release.cfg for the fw update files, probably you dont want miss them. I mean fw 3.63-3.67 doesnt include release.cfg, but 3.69, and 3.75 does.)

Hello everyone,
I tried new firmware 3.75 on 32LH5000 and 32LD320.
Both TV's work without any problems with this new firmware.
for 32LH5000 update was from 3.67 to 3.75
for 32LD320 update was from 3.69 to 3.75
some things that might help you
under Menu, select OPTION, like manual update from USB ( 7 times button FAV)
- restore firmware to previous version > press 7 times button 9 and TV will do the downgrade
password for Service Menu:
all versions up to 3.65 - 0000
3.66, 3.67, 3.68, 3.69, 3.75 - 0413

I tried to force downgrade 3.75 (7 times button FAV) and my tv died. no worry, RS232 restore worked like a charm. so, if you encounter any bugs in 3.75, revert to previous version (only use 7 times button 9)

Hello everyone
i have a 37lh2000 (european model) and want to upgrade the firmware from 3.12 to 3.15 to enable the USB . I have looked and can't find 3.15 firmware that i can download without page being expired. Does anyone have a working link or is there a different version i can use.
Or can this be done without upgrading the firmware on this model using a IR remote to get into that hidden menu?
Thanks in advance

Hi to everyone !
I have 42LH3000 and I have long time ago hacked USB.
I bought 32LD350 and make hack too. Menu interface on this is much better compared with my LH3000. I do not know what FW version have in both.
So, can I make FW upgrade on my LH3000 that I get same menu interface like in LD350 ?
And need I to hack USB again if I make FW upgrade ?
Thank you for all answers in advance !

Hi All,
I am owning LG 42LH50YR (Indian / Asian model ) and followed all the steps ( like copying latest European 3.67 & US 4.30 .epk files to USB/LG_DTV folder & pressing 7 (> 7 times) while highlighting options).
I got TV software update popup but none of the new firmwares are visible to upgrade.
I am having S/W version 4.04 anfd FRC Version 3.04.
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Hi, I have 37LG5000 with USB marked as 'service only' and I want to unlock/activate/hack it to be able to play movies from USB devices (external HDD). I ve been searching forums for hours, I have red all I can and Im still not sure about few things.
1) Some forums described unlocking USB in the LG series the same way as in LH series (downgrade firmware to 3.15 etc), but the firmware readme files dont mention supporting LG series. Also some forums mentioned that LG series uses *.bin firmware files, not *.epk, so its required to rename the file to 'update.bin', which smells fishy.
2) Some forums says that unlocking USB on LG series is not possible at all.
3) Some forums says that unlocking USB on LG series is possible only via IR hack.
4) Some forums describes unlocking USB using COM connection from PC - (damn, cant paste url, so I try it anyway without 3x w..) lg-hack.info/cgi-bin/sn_prntopic.cgi?cid=2674&fid=2677&tid=2714
5) One last interesting metod which Im not sure about - openlgtv.org.ru/wiki/index.php/LH/LG_series_USB_video_player_activation - basicly it says just to upgrade firmware to 3.75 + use LGMOD to add some setings for USB unlock.
Can anyone help me what should I do? The IR metod seems the most safe, but my phone is too old for this, I think. So please help. Thank you.

Be Aware this hack/trick is on your own risk and only for europe LH/LF and some LU models only.
Press menu on remote and go to options but don't press ok, now press 7 times on the fav button now a screen apears with Software update (Expert) download version v03.15.00(not needed if you already have v3.15) and put it on a usb stick now the TV will see the file press ok and it wil downgrade or upgrade to v03.15.00.
Now The Service menu works again.
To acces Servicemenu press ok + ok for 5sec and a pw screen apears pw=0000(this you need to enable usb and xvid-mkv playback), go to option number 3 and set jpeg,mp3 to 1 and divx/xvid to HD.
For in-start (servicemenu)use the menu + menu buttons also 5sec and a pw screen apears pw=0000, Real servicemenu dont use this.
So here is now mkv and xvid enabled on my 37LF2500

Hello Everyone,
My TV is 42LH7000 running on V3.12
On most of the mkv files I receive an error message 'sound not compatible'.
Also some avi files seem to be corrupt and cannot be played at all although they are fine on computer.
Will the above patch fix these problems? (It seems it only sets divx/xvid to HD)
What is the ideal FW version for this TV?
Thank you for your help in advance.

Just downloaded the latest firmware from the LG website in NL.
Created the LG_DTV folder on USB stick.
Put firmware file in directory.
Put USB stick in TV.
It will immediately ask you to update.
After updating the firmware the TV will restart.
Put my .JPG USB stick back in the TV and everything is still working as it did before on 3.55.
Thanks LG

hello everyone,
I made an update with version 3.75 and I so that my TV (32LD320) can play now Full HD movies (1920x1080) since the TV come usually with HD Ready (1366x768).
If anyone of you have the same TV and updated to version 3.75 then try to play a Full HD movie and see if it works.
Cheers

hi, try to fallow the steps from the bellow link and you don't need to update or change firmware.
img51.imageshack.us/img51/8633/lolavforums(dot)png
If you want alos to update the firmware just create a folder named LG_DTV in a root of a usb stick and mount it on TV.
If the firmware is newer than yours then a window will apper for update.

hi. for usb trick u need the following things:
- upgrade firmware to 3.55, or 3.65 or 3.75
- downgrade to 3.15
- enter ez-adjust menu
- do the modifications what u need
- exit ez-adjust with return button (not ok button)
- upgrade to the latest fw
OK. So Ez-Adjust (for 32lh2000):
0. Tool Option1:
- header: 16472
- Inch: 32
- Tool: LH20
- Maker: SHARP
- Module Rev.: 0
1. Tool Option2:
- header: 1574
- HDMI Count: 2
- HDMI Switch IC: NONE
- Component Count: 1
- S-Video: 0
- RCA AV Count: 1
- Scart Count: Full+Half
2. Tool Option3:
- header: 53156
- EMF(JPEG,MP3): 1
- Divx: HD
- Bluetooth : 0 (useless, you dont have bt module inside)
- Digital Eye : 1 (for more picture profiles)
- Headphone : 1
- OPC : 1 (some energy saving option)
- EPA: 1
- e-Manual: 1
- Audio Amp: NTP3100
- LED Type: Moving
- New E-Con: 0
3. Tool Option4:
- header: 11872
- Clear QAM: 0
- Local Dimming: 0
- THX: 1 (for extra profiles. For editing later you highlight the thx profile in menu, and press: 8741, L mark on your remote)
- Digital Demod: DRXK
- Analog Demod: TDFWDRXK
- THX Media Director: 1
- Picture Wizard: 1
I dont modified anything else. These settings are safe.

I flashed Firmware 3.32 (downloaded it from the official site) on my LG 42PJ350. After update I put lg mode lgmod_10610.epk. After that TV got reset, picture appeared for a moment and than the screen went dark. Now the TV is like dead, not responsing on the Remote Control. If i connect the power cabel it makes 2 times 'klick - klick', red LED goes on for a moment and picture is just dark gray.
Tried to connect with serial cable rs232, did everything read on the forum, but nothing happend while I was pressing ESC, no boot mode. What is the problem? Is the u boot locked or am I doing something wrong… if it’s locked, is it possible to unlock it?

I have an LG 47LH30-UA that I can access with serial connection but cannot get it to turn on. I get the 'mstart #' prompt and can attempt to load various (random LG) firmwares using the 'loadz rootfs' command then sending firmware file with HyperTerminal. The file seems to load but still does not work. If someone could email me the original firmware (epk file) or point me to where I can find it, I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi not sure what country you live in but I have 60LM6450 and DTS is no problem but good luck getting the NZ firmware to load if you can let me know I want to downgrade my firmware to an earlier version as flash videos no longer work but need to know how to force the downgrade with USB

Sorry for posting on an older thread but does anyone have the 3.15 Firmware?
I have looked around online and can't find it. I'd be grateful if any has it and wants to share or does anyone know where I can get it?
Thank you.

LG firmware updates are model and sometimes region specific. Was 3.15 originally intended for your model? Attempting to update the firmware with a version that wasn't intended for your model/region of LG can have some bad effects. Read the article below VERY carefully.

Sorry, I probably should elaborate.
I have a European 47LH3000 currently on 3.55. I have read through the Wiki and I believe I am good to go (except for the actual firmware).
I'm open to any suggestions and I appreciate the advice.

European models are obviously different from North American models so if the article doesn't specifically list your model and build, then I don't know. Just out of curiosity, why do you want to go from 3.55 to 3.15?

Yes, the Wiki article specifically lists my model. I am trying to get 3.15 so that I can 'unlock' the USB movie function.

There are two links on the article for the download but both links do not work (file is missing). Hence, I am back to my original question: Does anyone have the 3.15 firmware that they would be kind enough to share with me?

What do you think? no offcourse there is no new firmware anymore, this model is from 2008 and end of life, so just buy new tv/monitor.

georgas77 - as was mentioned, you have a very old, outdated tv so there is nothing you can do. The quote you referenced was a Service Menu hack that while it worked for some, others bricked their tv's because of firmware/board(s) versions were different as well as region.

Hello, I hope is not too late to ask for a firmware update file if someone has it. Is for my 32LH70YR. I asked for the file mailing LG customer support Middle East because they have the model and an update on their site. Here is the link:
lg.com/ae/support/support-product/lg-32LH70YR
But that link is not working for me.
They responded with an atached file, telling me to unzip it but the file was not compressed. This is the name of the file: 132341(4.17)-H6_LCD_PAL_IC802_V4.17_5295_100126_Master.bin
Is that a correct name for a firmware? Is the file extension correct? File size is 7mb.
I've tried putting it on the LG_DTV folder but the TV won't recognize any update on the USB.
Can someone help me please? I've looked everywhere but can't find any information about upgrading my firmware on my Scarlet II. There must be an old firmware update database somewhere.

I downloaded the latest version of that LGMod menu to watch these movies because i couldn't on this specific model of LG.
If i turn on my TV the screen goes grey and then it goes away and now just the blacklight stays on , the remote controls or touch botton are not working.
Is there any way to fix this by going into bootloader by connecting a usb to Serial RS232 to my laptop and order another Serial RS232 cable to get the connection into a terminal program ?
If someone could help , woul'd be awesome
